India have begun their ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026 campaign with their opening game against the United States of America (USA) Under-19 on Thursday, January 15. The game is being played at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.
India are placed in Group B alongside the USA, Bangladesh, and New Zealand. A total of 16 teams are participating in the tournament and are divided into four groups of four teams each.
India’s fixtures in the group stages include their ongoing clash against the USA, Bangladesh on Saturday, January 17, and New Zealand on Saturday, January 24. In the previous edition in 2024, they finished as runners-up, losing to Australia in the final by 79 runs. They will be keen to go the extra mile this time around and clinch the title.
While stars like Vaibhav Suryavanshi and skipper Ayush Mhatre will be in the limelight, several other players have been doing well and will have important roles to play.
That said, here are three lesser-known India players to look forward to at the Under-19 World Cup 2026.
