Alix Earle just received a major boost from one of her biggest inspirations, Lady Gaga herself.
The 24-year-old influencer recently shared TikTok clips of her Halloween look, inspired by Gaga’s iconic 2009 Paparazzi music video.
The outfit didn’t go unnoticed. Gaga jumped into the comments to cheer her on, writing, “Girl I love you. And I’m rooting for you on DWTS! Thank you for this it’s so sweet.”
Earle carried that energy onto the ballroom floor during the Oct. 28 Halloween Night episode of Dancing With the Stars.
She and partner Val Chmerkovskiy performed a tango to Billie Eilish’s Bury a Friend, opening their routine by rising out of a dirt pit, a moment that nodded to Gaga’s “skeleton pit” used during her The Mayhem Ball tour while performing Perfect Celebrity.
Earle has often called Gaga her favourite artist, so the support felt full-circle. And it looks like viewers are just as engaged.
This week’s themed episode pulled in 6.74 million total viewers, marking a new season high and the sixth straight week ratings have increased. It even climbed 2% from the Oct. 21 episode, despite going up against World Series Game 4 on Fox.
With Gaga cheering from afar and audiences tuning in more each week, Earle’s run on DWTS seems to be gaining serious momentum.
