Anushka Sen, indian digital star and actor, is set to enter a new phase of her career as she steps into the music world with her debut single, Chameleon.
As per Variety‘s report, the track marks her first official move into music and brings together her vocals with the production skills of Ken Lewis, a two-time Grammy winner and eight-time nominee known for his work with major global artists like Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar and Kanye West.
Lewis has been part of dozens of chart-topping hits, and his experience shapes the sound of Sen’s debut.
At just 21, Sen has built a massive footprint online, gathering nearly 40 million followers across her platforms.
She has been in front of the camera since childhood, starting on Indian television before shifting to digital content creation.
Earlier in 2024, she made her streaming debut in Prime Video’s coming-of-age series Dil Dosti Dilemma, where her performance received positive attention.
Chameleon was recorded during Sen’s recent trip to the United States, where Lewis shaped the song into a pop anthem that highlights her artistic growth.
The theme sits close to Sen’s heart, blending transformation, identity and the journey of defining oneself. She credited her mother for introducing her to music at a young age and influencing her creative foundation.
“Music has always been a part of my life, but I never imagined I’d have the courage to actually create something of my own and share it with the world,” Sen said.
“Chameleon was born out of a very personal space, it’s about evolution, identity, and not letting the world define you.”
She added that she has always preferred taking her own path, explaining that people often expect artists to stay in one lane, but she has never believed in that mindset.
Sen also shared that her Bengali roots have shaped her interest in different art forms, saying it has motivated her to explore dance, music and acting together in meaningful ways.
The audio version of Chameleon will make its global debut on November 18, marking the beginning of Sen’s new creative chapter.
