Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo marked their friendship in a special way as they got matching tattoos to celebrate the upcoming release of Wicked: For Good.
The two award-winning stars, who play Glinda and Elphaba in the much-awaited musical film, decided to honour their journey with simple yet meaningful ink.
Ariana, 32, shared a black and white picture on Instagram showing their palms with the words “For Good” written in a neat, elegant font.
She captioned it, “Happy wicked month 20 days,” exciting fans who are counting down to the film’s release.
Wicked: For Good arrives in cinemas on November 21, and anticipation is already running high.
Fans, however, have praised the strong bond between the two leading ladies, calling their matching tattoos a beautiful tribute to their roles and the film’s message of friendship.
Cynthia, 38, recently made headlines after posing topless for Harper’s Bazaar and opening up about how fame and success have shaped her confidence.
She said she now feels “fully myself right now,” adding that her presence as a Black woman on mainstream TV meant something powerful.
The Hollywood icon further explained, “If it’s the only thing I put into this world, that everyone’s individual beauty is worth seeing and experiencing, and you don’t have to change it for anyone else other than yourself, then I’m happy.”
Moreover, Cynthia also spoke about saying goodbye to her Wicked character, sharing that Elphaba will always remain a part of her, even as she steps into new chapters.
